Sad to say, but I lost my boating buddy this morning. He was my 20 pound one year three month old West Highland Terrier. He went from being a puppy to having to be put down in three days. Something in his body kicked of some blood disease and ate at his red blood cells. I was trying to understand it all, but got none of it. All I know is that he had one season on the water with me and saw may things and played in many places. He had a great life, short, but great. I will miss him very much.
This is him just hangin out on the boat

Here he is napping away the day

I am so sorry for your loss! Being a Pet family ourselves, where our pooch is with us on every boat trip, I can only imagine how you must feel!

Please accept my condolences also! It looks like he really enjoyed his time with you, and had some experiences most dogs can't even dream of. You did good.

I am also sorry to hear of your loss... I must agree with Mike, it sure looks like you had a great time together, and have gathered some great memories in a short time.

+1 Brian. Sorry. Though short, at least you gave him a life that was a lot of fun and probably a dream for most dogs.

I too am sorry to hear about your loss. That little guy of yours sure seemed to have one hell of a life!!!! I'm sure you will miss him but the next one will bring all the joys and memories that this little guy did. Our lab is ten years old and has started to develop some growths on her belly. I don't even like thinking about the day that we may have to put her down.

Brian,

I am sorry for your loss and I know words can't express enough how sad you must feel. I am at the point in my life where I have maybe the second dog I've really bonded with (my Doberman Dutchess) and she's now 7 and I pray to god that he gives me more time with her because it's going to rip my heart out...

Like with anything else in life, enjoy it now, tell them you love them now and love them now.. We never know what tommorow holds for us. (And yes that applies to the two legged variety of people, as well).

Sorry about your loss. The pictures are great and will always remind you of a time that was good on the water.
