Well, I couldn't find my pics of the boat in the slip, but I did find this crude drawing of my setup. The rear spring is actually on another pole a little closer to the rear than what the pic indicates, but it performs the same...

Thanks for the picture- interesting setup !
I don't have that luxury, we have boats either side and literally have to back on to the pontoon wall - most marinas are like that here
So I have 2 stern ropes onto the pontoon and 2 bow ropes attached to the same main rope attached to the sea bed at the bow
Its quite a knack learning how to reverse into the mooring with limited space around !

With that setup the bow tie is the only thing holding the rig from pushing back into the "pontoon" dock. I would get some spring lines to offer some push from the dock side as a fail safe for sure. Or get a few BABs....big ass bumpers to cushion the blow in case of bow line slippage.
