Anyone know where I can get a copy of the wiring harness for my SL242? I got some seablazeX lights and I want to utilize the spare accessory switches. FW doesn't make things easy.

For the older boats the wiring diagrams are on the FW site, in customer service....I'd imagine that the newer ones should be there too...

Pretty sure it's been the owners manual for both of my FW boats.

Someone said FW stopped including all the wiring diagrams sometime after 2005. A massive disservice to buyers IMO.

I would e-mail them and ask for a copy. For what these boats cost that's the least they can do....

The dealer couldn't get a wiring schematic for my 2009 278 Vista. I think not supplying such schematics is FW policy unfortunately.

I managed to obtain a wiring diagram for the aft section of the boat. Apparently its a common wiring harness in the newer boats, so I will see if my harness has the plugs for underwater lighting.

If you want a copy of it, PM me.

So as a follow up to this, I got a chance to check the wiring harness on my 2011 SL242. Both female plugs for under water lighting are sitting on the harness. The colours for both port and starboard plugs are Yellow/Gray + light green. I also checked the colours on the accessory switches at the helm. These correspond to Accessory switch 2 :). I have my Standard Horizon currently connected to accessory switch one, so it works well for me.

I was able to buy the male side of the connector here http://ca.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx ... d=54200210 . I think these pins would work, http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/e ... -ND/299431

The breaker under the helm is 10A, so it will support two Seablaze X underwater lights, each rated at 3.6A@ 12V.

So now I just have to purchase a drill bit for gelcoat/fiberglass and grow a pair big enough to drill into the transom below the waterline
