Does anyone know if the speedo pickups are the same for all the 4 winns boats? I just want to mount the new pickup half on and leave the original base there and not violate it. I need one for my U-19.

every pickup on every boat that is VACUUM work the same. you can use any Pitot. I recommend using a http://www.iboats.com/Speedometer-Pitot-Kit-Seachoice/dm/view_id.926923?mkwid=s3Dcl64uq&crid=41829038899&mp_kw=&mp_mt=&pdv=c&cm_mmc=Google_Main-_-Mall+New+Shopping%3AGoogle-_-All+Products%3AMall+New+Shopping%3AGoogle-_-PLAs&gclid=Cj0KEQjw3ZS-BRD1xu3qw8uS2s4BEiQA2bcfM1za91gqH1dQZ7xFeiqJ8bfVopSeq6zGLhZ9267vY_AaArF98P8HAQ

Well, the Pitot tubes are actually Pressure, not Vacuum.
Some other 4 winns models use a paddle wheel speedometer sensor (like with the VDO gages). So there are basically two different types: Paddle wheel or Pitot Tube. As Jdpber said, all the Pitot Tubes are interchangeable.

I assumed that he had a Pitot and not a paddle.

Do they mount the same? I don't want to drill any new holes.

Different manufacturers may have different hole patterns. Not a big deal if you seal the old holes with 3M 4200 or 5200. You should be sealing the new screws anyway. To match the hole pattern, you would probably need to take the old one (or a tracing of the hole pattern) to your local boat supply store.

Found the original pickup on ebay. It's a VDO if anyone is looking for the same.

Glad you figured out your issue but I got curious about this. As I never had an issue so I did some digging and it sounds like there is a little hole at the bottom of the VP leg and it sounds like merc's are similar. I don't have a pickup anywhere on the transom and I do not have a gps speedo so that's what got me curious. I assume the rest of the system is the same other than were it picks up the water pressure.

Many of the outboards have this setup as well. If the little hole ever gets hopelessly plugged up with crud and corrosion, you can connect a conventional pitot tube pickup on the transom as a replacement.
