Taking my boys camping on the river but it's been a long time since I've been to Havasu. I'm pretty sure we launched at Take Off Point down by the Parker Dam last time, and will likely do the same again unless anyone has suggestions to offer?

Anyone else going to be out there this weekend?

I don't think we'll be able to get there until the second week of June...unless something comes up sooner. Until then, it's San Diego Bay and Oceanside.

My favorite place to launch and camp is Cat Tail Cove on the Arizona side not too far north of the dam. Give it a try sometime.

Thanks for the reply - what do you like about cat tail cove? i.e. Why there instead of Take Off Point or Havasu Springs Resort? Is it Sandpoint Marina where you put in?

Sorry...forgot to answer your question about why there vs the other two. Very simple... I've never been to the other two places.

I'll have to check them out when there in June.
