About $8 per foot here. I would not pay for it on a new boat, it would take less than an afternoon on a new boat like yours, and besides, it gives you the opportunity to get up close and personal with your new baby!! You know, a labor of love type thing.
In your case, the reason I would do it yourself, is you can see for yourself if there are any knicks or scratches in the gelcoat. A service provider might not mention every little imperfection that he runs across. Also, spending that much money on an investment like that, I would want to know every inch of that boat before I launch it.
