I am probably one of the few members on here who has downsized.

First boat: 2000 298 Vista that I bought in late 2000.
Image

Second boat: 2000 Carver 406MY that that I bought in 2004 without having my Four Winns sold (dumb).
Image

I never could sell my first boat so I sold the Carver in early 2008 and went back full-time to the Four Winns. Probably worked out for the best given the economy and the fact that we have 4 kids now.

First boat purchased in 2004 was a 2001 Maxum 1900 SR with 5.0L V8 (220hp). Picture below is a few weeks before we traded it in November 2009.

Image

Second and current boat purchased in November 2009 is a 2005 FW H230 with Volvo Gi/DP. We have been on it all of 30 minutes for a test drive and then put it away for the winter 3 hours from where we live. Buying a boat in November is great--but also torture. Spring/Summer cannot get here soon enough!

That is a hilarious picture! I have to wonder why they are bothering to tie it to the dock!?
