anyone using the sendek hourmeter and tach combo. I am thinking about ordering it but it says all you have to do is hook up the wire around the spark plug and that is it. But my question is, how is it powered?

They are powered by the spark from the plug wire. No battery is needed. When the engines runs, the unit runs.

I've been looking at the Sendec meter as well. Where did you end up attaching it?

I got it from cabellas and you just wrap this wire around any spark plug wire and that is it. Super easy and no cutting or tampering required. Im very happy with it.

Has anyone added bilge counter? It seems like it'd be useful to know if the pump's had to operate while we've been away during the week.

I would think you can just add one of those cheap hour meters that works when the power it turned on.
