Well I suppose if I get out my toy boats I can start boating this weeknd in the bathtub. :D The lake is still frozen and its 32* today. I postponed the boat delivery after last weeks 10.6" of snow....it may snow again on Thursday. Iits being delivered on May 5th two weeks later than I planned. Man am I depressed....

I did get new fenders and PFD's yesterday, that cheered me up a little.

Still waiting for May 9. :? But I now have everything I need other than the boat including new fenders, pfd's, fender locks, and all the good stuff. If I'm lucky the weather and water will co-operate on May 13 for the first cruise in the new boat!

Ours went in this week, and we're heading down to the marina today for the first time...I have a new cockpit cover to install, today is decent but the weather for the next couple of days is calling for heavy rain, 25-35 mph wind and 50mph gusts...really don't want the camper canvas taking that kind of abuse...so, I already got work to do...but awfully glad she's in the water.

Put mine in about a month ago. Got 80 for two weeks, now the last week has been in the 40's with night temps sometimes in the 20's. This one stays in the water at the cabin, so I had to take a shop light and put it in the engine compartment for a few days. Stays in Western Kentucky.

Definitely a delay in the Start to this Season! Here is what High Tide looked like this morning. This is the street entrance to the marina:

The Good News is that none of the boats floated off their stands!

I thought you were kidding about tieing down your boat on land at the marina.

No, I actually did tie my anchor line to the bulkhead, but as you can see from the pic's it was not necessary. The water just about came up to the bottom of the keel. To actually float it, it would have had to come up almost to the waterline, so I had a good foot or 2 before it would have floated. Having said that, in 1992 an unnamed Noreaster did in fact float most of the boats at this marina off their stands. One crashed thru the bar window, with it's anchor fully inside the building and several others actually floated out to the street! You never know!

Got an email from the marina with pics today. The whole place is in the water. The office, bathrooms, Docks and parking lot are under water. This sucks. At this rate it will be weeks before we can get in. Good thig the boat is at home in the driveway on the trailer.

Those pictures are just crazy. Other than buildings have any of the boats come off their blocks or get damaged?
