From being on a Monty 302, there is quite a bit of storage space lacking in and around the galley when compared to a 318.

Having young kids, having a bed made up full time and ready to go is a very nice feature. Making up the V-berth in the 268 for our son was a PITA after a while.

Then you should have looked at a 322. A bed for each kid in the mid cabin, permanent V-berth, with more storage than in a 302 or even in a FW 328V. At $66K it would leave plenty of money for any "salty" repairs that will eventually rear it's ugly head.

2004 Monterey 322

or....

2005 Monterey 322 ($74K)

I love the 322 aft cabin layout.

Agree, I have not seen one like it in an express cruiser of this size. Perfect place for two young kids
with their own TV and gaming system. Or two adult guests as well.

When we bought our 282, we were also looking at a 322, but it sold the afternoon we looked at it. Otherwise
we would have bought it, and may even still own it.

Yep, Plan "Z" is always advised. They dropped the price because I told them to.

Just for reference, Duke from BABC bought a 322 last season, traded in his 258 Vista for it. He has told
me nothing but positive things about it. Him and his wife love it. He boats on Lake Erie .

I shot him a PM a whike back.

As with any boat, I'm sure I'll have that feeling or not about the Lady within minutes if seeing her.

Very True. Just don't let your emotions get the better of you. I know how badly you want a V318. Remember
what we discussed as far as what it needs to make it a real beauty, and the costs's associated with that. Those
$'s can add up real fast, and I know you want and deserve a boat that looks as good as it can for the money you have.

If you have not seen a 322 in person, and the Lady does not work out, not sure how far Louisvilly KY, is from
your house, but maybe worth a Saturday drive down with the wife to look at one. It's an older one, but layout
is essentially the same, just different choices of interior materials.
1999 322
Or this 1998 322 in Chicago might be even closer.

Heard things are going well but he did see a 2011 V335 w/ hardtop that caught his eye. Can't wait to hear if he pulled the trigger.

He has not been able to sleep since he sold his 268, his fingers are raw from searching the web and typing "Four Winns 318 Vista", he would never be able to live with himself if he had stooped to the level of a Monterey, Regal or Sea Ray and finally, it's nearly 80 degrees here now, and he does not have the patience to wait for a better fit and miss out on prime boating weather.

I'm not a betting man, but with all he has done so far with this "Salty Lady" I would bet the trigger has been pulled......

Just wondering cap'n, but what's your beef with the 318? Its a pretty fantastic boat that has a great layout and amenities. For a 33' express, its one of the best in class?
