Seen it, thanks though. A bit older than we want.

Looks nice on the surface capt, but the owner has no carpet and never uses it. Some of the pics I've seen aren't to attractive.

Well.......

From my perspective. You are stuck on Four Winns, and only one model, and are limited in what you can afford.
That seems to have narrowed the field down considerably. Namely only one boat, and it would be futile at this point
to suggest anything else, no matter what the brand or price.

So we will just wait until you make your formal announcement, and put this thread to bed for good.

Seems pretty common on used boats lately.......

It's too bad that only a V318 is on Fires' radar, I did some looking last night, and man !!! for what he can afford, there are some very good deals in the 30' to 34' express cruiser market available. I was amazed at what is out there.

Like this 2005 loaded and with a genset for $69K

Here is another example. If spending close to $100K for a salty boat, and transportation costs to get it to Indiana, you could have a larger boat than the V318, preffered inboard power(No drive maintenance, re-painting, corrosion etc.) freshwater boat, larger gen set (7.3KW) and less transport costs from Detroit area to Lake Michigan. Does this make any sense to you guys? or not ?

The Chap you posted...where is it at? I can tell you that it started at my dealer, Plano Marine as that white sticker on the lower port side is their logo.

She's now in League City

Unfortunately, Fire thinks "it's too similar to the 268 and not as big as a V318" :)

The Chaparral 280/290 has always been one of my favorite boat designs. A great layout for entertaining and it has the cave like mid cabin berth that we love on our 268.
I bet we could get our entire dock gathered around this table to play cards!
