So, we were just thinking about how much our gas price here in Winnipeg sucks. We're currently at 103.4 per litre or doing a bit of math, about $3.49/gallon. We were wondering what the rest of us were paying at the pump? And what do you think the price is going to do this summer?

Down here in SC we are floating between 2.70 to 3.10$ depending on which day or weekend.

But I think it will continue to go up and spike and fall some but not much. I bet we will be looking at 3$, well here, for msot of the summer.

We are at $2.65/gallon today in Kansas City, MO. Prices at the lake 2 hours away are usually within $0.05-0.10/gallon. I would expect they will be right at $3.00/gallon when they get to their highest point of the summer. I recall last year when "insiders" were talking about $4-5/gallon for us, but we never saw more than $3.05/gallon or so. I expect about the same this year, within 5 to 10 cents/gallon.

I'm guessing by the sounds of it we're getting raped up here in Canada in the world of gas prices... :x What I would give for the gas prices of the early 90's...

I hear ya Rob. Here in North Bay, we just hit $1.09 a litre. For all of you working in US gallons, that's $4.13 CAD ($3.68 USD)a gallon.

Geez, glad I got the 4 banger!

With ya, Rob. At the risk of sounding like my father, gas was about $0.90/gallon when I turned 16 and began driving in 1991. I recall thinking, "Man, gas is getting too expensive" when it "shot up" to $1.25 or so in 1995. I mistakenly thought things were starting to straighten themselves out a bit when we saw $1.80/gallon in March 2007. Thank God I was brought back to reality.

Well, lessee. When I started in '78, I believe it was running around $0.72. Which, as much as anything else, is a statement about how much less volatile the prices werein those days. It only went up around 18 cents in 13 years.

Here in Portland CT it was 2.98 for 87 this afternoon. 4.00 will be easy at the marina this season. Probably closer to 4.50. Should be fun. That trawler is really sounding good right now.

Today in Vancouver, $1.23 per litre at the pump. I would think it is probably another $0.10 per litre on top of that at the marina.
