Garmin 4xxs (4-inch screen) or 5xxs (5-inch screen) series will give water temp and depth plus about 75 other functions / displays. If you have lots to spend go to a Garmin 740. For a boat your size I would absolutely get a mapping gps. I love my 536s because of the large screen and easy to read charts. See my review on the 536s.

I had the 441s and I liked it, but the screen was too small and it was SLOW to work with. I got it off this site used for a good deal so I couldn't complain.

Go with at least a 7in display. I use my Note 2 with Navionics and it shows speed in GPS. I use my depth sounder for real time depth of course. It has a 5.5 in screen and I use a windshield mount. couldn't be happier.

In all honesty if you have a depth sounder (you should) I'd purchase a Nexus 10 google tablet for $400 and get the $35 Navionics HD app. The maps are downloaded, no internet/wifi needed. If you don't have a sounder (weird) just installa Faria one with depth and water temp, they're cheap.

5 " display is adequate. This model covers about everything. Highly recommended.

If you can fit a larger display, go with this.

I have the Garmin 546S. Works great and fits in my cramped helm. Fast and decent screen. Rule is as big a screen as you can fit and afford. Garmin is real customizable on the display. I have the map, speed, depth, water temp, compass, and coordinates.
