Hi Folks,

Looking for a little help. We were out on the water for a couple hours yesterday and the engine started surging. We checked everything and then on the way back to the dock, the boat died completely but the only thing we found is a white breaker on the dash had popped and we had no power to the helm or ignition. We reset the breaker and when turning the ignition switch to "on" (not start) the voltage read 0 (the blower and bilge still worked so we still had voltage) and the white breaker popped again. This went on for 25 minutes with much wire wiggling, nothing definitive, and it just started working again.

Anyone know what that breaker is protecting? Ignition? Can anyone speculate what to look for? We also have the helm circuit breaker at the back (30 amp) which didn't trip.

It is a stock h190 and its been running fine up to this point.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

John

Maybe one of the wires to your safety kill switch is loose? Mine came completely off recently: 2000 H180 w/5.0 GI Volvo will not start, turn over, etc.

Hope it is an easy fix for you as well ;)

Thanks, I had a suggestion from Four Winns to check the ignition switch as well. I guess that breaker is for the ignition. I may replace the switch just in case there is some corrosion inside.

Cheers.

John
