Check the wire size from the breaker. I just had the same issue with our fridge. Ran a 10 AWG wire from breaker and fridg works fine on 12v. FW ran a 14 AWG wire which allowed too much voltage drop hence not allowing compressor to run.

I would replace the wiring from 12 to 14 gauge,
this is a well known f/w defect, the wires are too long for the length of power they carry.
The wires would prob. work just fine if they were about 10 feet shorter.
I would just replace it, you are going to have to do it anyway.

Anyone know where a good thread is for this subject?
