Hello All,

Does the engine bilge high water alarm tie into dashboard buzzer that my High water temp and Low oil pressure alarm buzz?

Looking for opinions or fix before I cut, crimp and shrink tube in a new buzzer. I would like to restore original alarm but cant find any information on it.

Thanks

I had a high water alarm on my 2003 248 Vista. It was linked to a panel on the dash and only operational of you subscribed to a monitoring service. I believe the name of the service was Sea Key. I can't swear to it but I thought that was a bit shady. I thought it would be possible to convert it to an audible warning but I never got around to it.

My 2007 278 has one and I believe it is tied to an alarm behind the dash panel. Been a while since I played with it.
I know there are 2 alarm buzzers behind there but I never set it off when I had the panel down to see which one was being setoff by what.
Sorry not much help.

OK thanks.
I have read that if you subscribe to SeaKey on 2005 or newer boat you can get a text for any alarms, temps etc.
I think the plan is going to be to wire the float to a separate buzzer.

My Crownline has a special bilge alarm panel. I'll have to dig through some pictures to get a model since my boat is tucked away for winter storage.

Found it: Marine Technologies SA-1000XL High Bilge Water Alarm.

Great thread.

I also couldn't figure out why the alarm didn't work, nor where it might be. Now I know.

Food for thought... Is it better to have an alarm on the second float, or a big ass bilge pump?

I'm thinking of installing a second and larger pump.

Yes, the 2nd pump should be larger and connected to your 2nd battery. Also always in the "auto mode" and installed a litter bit higher that the first pump. Its cheap insurance.

Thanks for the information 97_245_sd
I printed the user manual page and hopefully I will do something this year towards a alarm.
The float switch is good.
There's 3 volts to it, odd.
I like the idea of a small bilge alarm panel I could mount on the dash, thanks
