Anyone ever deal with loss of electrical power to ignition switch and all instr. gages? I recently opened up my 1987 FW 170 Horizon boat to prep it for the lake and discovered I do not have any battery power to my ignition switch or the instr. gages or any switches(bilge pump, horn, lights, etc.). I tried resetting the breaker in engine compartment but to no avail. I tried moving outdrive up/down and found it works. In addition while turning key switch on I moved the throttle to insure I was in neutral position but still nothing. Next move is to start with a meter and checking for voltage at various locations in wiring(I have an electr. schematic). Looking for some specific pinpoint locations that maybe would narrow my diagnostic checks. Thanks

Can you post a pic of the schematic?

I had this problem one year and it was the ignition circuit fuse; it was oxidized enough to not allow current to pass. No gauges no engine crank. Tilt n trim still worked. Try replacing the fuse.

That was my first thought, a blown fuse

Even if the fuse is not blown; oxidation can cause enough resistance to stop a circuit from working...
Don't forget to clean off the oxidation from the fuse holder contacts...
