I finally got my buns in gear to install LED lights for this docking light. I found GX`s A1041000DW which is 6500K-7000K White-Light Spotlight LED Light Bulb (DC12V ) This bulb is bright enough (or brighter) to replace original 50W Halogen MR 16 bulbs.
The new bulb is about ¼” taller than the original 50W Halogen MR 16 bulbs and I though I need to modify housing to fit. However, I found the this new bulb fits perfectly on the bezel of docking light instead of inside of the bezel on the original bulb… We are very pleased of end result that we went out evening/night cruise last night and had great test. We love these sharp cool white color…

Do you have a link for where you got them, and would they fit in the housings of your old dock lights??

I think they will fit pre 2010 docking lights as well but I no longer have them so could not verified..

I might have to give this a try. The bigger question is why are you still modifying with the crownie on the way?
