Hello all. Anyone know why there is a 4 point/prong slide together electrical connector with no mate on the forward-drivers side of the engine compartment? Is it for diagnostics?? It has orange wires in it (can't remember the other colors). It's next to where the 2 prong cabin light on the engine cover plugs in and another flat four with brown wires in it that is connected.

Thanks

Pictures help, of the connector itself and the general area around it. The colors of the wires is important. With them you can look it up on the schematics (usually in the owners manual). And, presumably you're talking about the boat listed in your signature?

Photobucket is free and if you have an iPhone "there is an app!"

makes a nice reference for your boat anywhere you are. I have shown pictures to guys when searching for a particular part.

Your model came pre-wired for the flux capacitor... It runs on 4.7 Jigawatts though

It's may well the wiring for the aft speakers on the Sunsport model. The standard speaker cable pairs are "hard wired " into a 4 pin connector ( i.e. 2 cables to each pin). The Sunsport speakers presumably needed longer cables and are plugged into that connector, ( Orange, black/orange, blue, black-blue)
