Hello, I know there is debate on whether to travel with the canvas bow a cockpit covers on or off. I think that with them on, it is only a matter of time before they get wrecked or damage the gelcoat from a few snaps coming loose.

I am considering a overall boat cover that we can use while the boat is sitting outside on the trailer and during transit. Also useful at the campsite when all the ash and dust is flying around.

So I am thinking a custom fitted boat cover. What does everyone think of this? Any one know of a place to order one. I would prefer to have someone wth the patterns already rather than to try to explain to someone how to build what I think I want. I haven't been able to see anything sold by Four Winns.

Thoughts?
Thanks

Hi DDP,

I ordered a total mooring cover from Overtons. We have used this as the only cover since we got the boat. The only thing is you will also have to buy some sort of support pole system for it. I got the one from Overtons as well, the only thing is I also had to use the bow cover since the strap system didnt aid when it rained.

If you have any questions please ask away.

I'm not aware of one. I've got the tan-colored FW mooring cover for a 220H, but it is still in the plastic because I don't think it has any provision for the tower on it.

I suppose a good canvas shop could modify it and sew some heavy duty velcro strips onto it to use around the tower mounts. I'm actually thinking of selling it, though, as I have not yet used it and don't plan to.

It was priced at around $500 or so, but I'd sell it for less if anyone wants to buy it. PM me if you're interested.

I'm not certain, but I believe I recall the dealer telling me that the mooring cover will cover the tower when collapsed. This could be specific to the 200.

That is not something I have heard. My "tower" is actually the "ski arch" and not the "wakeboard tower." The ski arch does not collapse/fold down. I think I heard somewhere that the 2008 version does, though, so that is good for the next model year.
