I agree the photo in the spreadsheet looked terrible. The picture that you posted does a much better job of selling a $2,000 add-on.

I have a platform coming in from swimplatforms.com next week. As soon as I get it on, I'll post some pics so that the difference can be noted from the fourwinns "kit".

How is it suggested to seal the lower supports that attach to the hull? I was going to use the 3M 4200 sealant. The support tube is hollow and is cut out for drainage? on the flange. Do you seal all around the flange or just around the screws allowing for any water accumulation in the support a pathway for drainage?

Thanks!

I sealed mine where the screws go through the hull and left support holes alone. However I installed a different manufacturer platform. I'd post pics, but haveing a hard time understanding the instructions because it doesn't do what is listed COPY IMAGE something doesn't work.

Alex, Just host your pics at photobucket.com then hotlink them here.

Edit: Did you use the 4200 sealant?

I didn't use the 4200, I used the 5200, will need to let dry for a week. I need the time to look at an electrical problem and a water leak. I don't know what hotlink means??

nice platform! I'm thinking of getting the same one for my 96 238V.......Does the platform cover up the Hull ID #? I can't tell from the swimplatform.com web site if it does.......is there a notch-out on the edge of the ESP that mlunts against the hull where the ID # is??? I would think so...
thanks

Has anyone had any experience with the extended swim platform that can be added from four winns, and how much did you pay? My local dealer quoted me $1700.00 , is it worth it. I get nervous with my kids on what little platform there is, and I don't want to see them or anyone else take a fall onto the outdrive unit. Thanks in advance.

We have 3 kids and we love it. Its the best addition you will ever make.

Old post but I would like to see if anyone has done a platform that can fold up? I want a swim platform but am worried about adding extra length to my boat from a storage perspective...
