Not the 1/4-20 SS Phillips head screw, but the very thin threaded plastic sleeve. Any ideas?

you guys are kinda correct with the "binding post". The size is real odd. It basically looks like FW took a SS screw and used a plastic "binding post nut", but the barrel diameter is turned down to a custom diameter. The thru hole in the hinge is too small for a standard 1/4" sleeve.

A normal brass binding post is about 11/32" diameter so I'm probably gonna re-drill the holes in the hinge and use some SS or metal hardware and nylon/plastic washers for spacers. In reality, this hinge probably doesn't take a lot of wear and tear.

This is one of those deals where I should have left well enough alone, but once i started taking it apart, the worn pieces were basically disintegrated.

It still would be nice to find the exact part from Fw.

I've had luck sending a request through their website.
I think under customer service, contact them and fill out the request.
You may be able to insert picture or wait for email response.

Or contact your local Four Winns dealer. Mine found a No Longer Available gold "Winns" through another dealer for my old Sundowner.

Yeah, I sent an e-mail yesterday (Sunday), and just got a response about an hour ago. Due to the way their site works, I could not send a picture, but the guy on the other end just requested and I sent. We'll see if they have what I need. Kinda looks to be a custom made part. Like I said, the through hole in the hinge is a real weird size. Thanks for the suggestion.

Good to hear.

Let us know if they find that part or if they just send you back to McMaster Carr.

Best regards,
Doug

For those interested, I found a hardware store in town that has an insane collection of hobby/craft parts. I was able to find some nylon sleeves which were about 95% similar to the ones installed by Four Winns. I also spoke with a local Four Winns dealer and he mentioned having the same issue finding these parts that are no longer available. If anyone would ever need these, let me know and I can pick them up. They are about $.50 each. Looks like they are also used on the folding ladders.
