Thanks guys, I ordered a set of the 20' to try out. If I like these, I will pick up some 25's to mount/use at the slip.

Shoot, I'm too cheap to use nice braided line at my slip and have always used 3 strand twisted nylon. Not only is it a lot cheaper than braided but it doesn't give as much (probably why they use it for most anchor rodes).

I am pretty cheap too.

At the slip, its all about image, I am poor, the rest are not
I have a hoist, so the ropes are just to square it up before raising it out of the water

To those with older lines, have you ever tried washing them?

I won't go into the ridiculous amount of rope I have on board, however, I will share my success washing rope in my washing machine at home.

I've done my 4 strand anchor rode, 3 strand lines for tying to shore, and double branded dock lines.

I soak them in oxy clean, than put them in a mesh bag and wash them in a front loader with some more oxy. Great results every time.

I throw mine in the washing machine as well when they get nasty. A little fabric softener helps as well.
