We bought a 1997 Sundowner 225 2 years ago. It is in excellent shape and we love it! The boat comes with a cabin sink and freshwater tank, but the system is not functioning. Does anyone know how this works and how I can clean it and test it? I looked up all the parts on the Four Winns Past Product site, but the info in the owner's manual is very limited so I don't really know where to start.
Thanks.

Later ones have push fit couplings (with a blue plastic hose). Earlier ones might not be exactly the same, but the system is probably similar:

Hose from freshwater tank to pump.
Inlet screen on pump inlet; can get blocked with stuff if unused for a while
Pump detects pressure and only runs to maintain the pressure so runs when the tap (= faucet) is opened
Plastic plug with 2 pins supplying power; check for corrosion/ loose/ power ( one terminal +ve, the other is to ground)
Hose to tap
Switch for power somewhere at the helm or possibly near the sink.
Fuse for pump at fusebox or inline
