So I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a top mount swim platform from swimplatforms.com. It was a little pricey ($1400 including shipping and crate), but was still $400 less than the FW platform. Hopefully it will keep my 2 year old from accidentally falling onto the drive and give us some extra room to lounge around.

Now that it has arrived, I get to tackle the installation. I know a couple people on here have installed platforms before. Any tips or pointers would be much appreciated. Also, does anyone know where I can find 3M 4200 sealant?

Believe it or not, some Wal-Marts have it.

West Marine, The Marine Center, and National Boat Mart all have it. Walmart near me stopped carrying it a few years ago.

I've seen it at Home Depot too.

I've even found it at ACE hardware.

Hi! please let me know how you make out with the install. I have a 98 Horizon RX and just priced a platform from the same site. Mine was about $1100, before shipping.

Also, from the photos on their site and from looking at the back of my boat, I wonder if the platform will interfere with raising the outdrive all the way to trailering position. How does yours look?

Thanks!

Gander Mountain, Bass Pro Shop, most boat dealers. It is not hard to find.

Take plenty of pics...before, during, and after install

I've toyed with the idea of adding a swim platform to my h200. I've been leaning towards the factory one...it would be nice if I could actually get it direct from the factory since it's just an hour down the road. I hear a lot of positive comments on swimplatforms.com so it would be great to hear your first hand experience on the product. Good luck with the install!

Swimplatforms sends you outdrive shims to limit the amount it will come up.

I installed the one on my 225 sundowner but it was the factory swim platform. They aren't too bad to install infact yours may be easier to install as the one I put on mounted over the existing one. Just take your time and don't be in any hurry to get your drill out until you are 100% about where your going to be drilling holes. Lots of 3M on the supports under the water!

Did you get it installed yet? Any Pictures? I received a quote from swimplatforms.com and I think that is what I'm going to go with.
