I have the reverse arch tower and have been looking around trying to find a mirror.....don't think mounting to the arch is an option with this style....anyone else had luck with this?

I must need posting pics for idiots or something....any directions on how to post. I have photobucket I can use since apparently you can post a pic straight from the computer.....i click on img and it don't do squat except write img in the mssge two times.

In Photobucket, in the lower-left area you'll see several strings of characters. Just click in the box labeled "IMG," and that will copy that whole string to your clipboard. Come back to the forum, and hit paste in your post. That's it, you don't even need to click the "Img" button here in the forum.

I can't really offer any suggestions for the mirror, but I love the boat and the pictures are great.

Just what I was thinking. One of these is on my list also.

I think this is more what you're looking for:

http://www.aerialwakeboarding.com/wakeboard-wakeboarding-mirror-mirrors-aerial-s/21.htm

http://www.avengerwakesports.com/wakeboardmirrors.html

http://www.google.com/products?hl=en&q=wakeboard+tower+mirror+arm&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=agAQTOC9EorWNpmHsboM&sa=X&oi=product_result_group&ct=title&resnum=3&ved=0CDsQrQQwAg

Commonly called a wakeboard tower mirror arm.

I had one of those and it shook like crazy. Eventually I tightened it down too hard and broke the stupid bracket. I ended up rigging a mount for it on the windsheild support pole and it now works great! practically as stable as a car rear-view mirror. As I recall rigging it only required I remove the clamp on bracket at the pivot where you see the phillips head screw - the rotation arm stays, and it ended up being a perfect fit on the support pole. Here's a pic:

Image

As you can see it doesn't block the walk thru at all. The pic isn't that great, the red arrow in this one shows where it's mounted, and it gives a great view of skiiers, tubers, or general traffic behind my wake.

Best of all, no need to mount, un-mount, re-mount ad infinum. It doesn't interfere with covers, walk-thru doors, nothing. Once I mounted it - I never looked back. Umm, you know what I mean.

Hi Jim_R. That mirror looks like a great idea for those of us without towers. Is there a brand name to that mirror?

Thanks,
Brett.

Jim,

I think that putting it on the windshield support is my best option for sure...do you have a brand name or purchase location for the mirror/bracket?

I do like the tower mount mirrors as listed in the links here, but those just will not work with the reverse arch tower unfortunately....the tower is actually mounted far behind the helm and sweeps forward. the mirror support arm for a tower mirror would have to be several feet long and freeky looking.

I also wanted to get some tower speakers, but don't see how they can mount to the tower and still be able to use the bimini....my bimini mounts in front of the tower and actually extends underneath the tower - meaning the speakers will be an obstruction. Way too hot to go all day with no cover....guess those could be mounted so they are on top of the tower, but have never seen that before and think that will look stupid.

I am heading to the boat show today maybe and will look for some mirrors like you posted Jim and thanks a ton.

My boat came with a suction cup one that I stick to the walk-thru glass, that works great. I guess that is not standard anymore.

I just installed this mirror on my boat, we're really happy with it.
I mounted the mirror vertically from the tower (above driver) - The mirror has quick release and a pivot in the middle that will let you easily push it out of the way when you don't need it. The mirror itself can swivel in all kinds of positions too which was nice for this type of mounting setup.

Image

2 problems...
1) I see your boats tower is a lot farther back from the cap'n chair than mine.
2) The hot chick will not appear in your boat after installing the mirror.

It looks like a window or suction mounted mirror is your only option.

Sorry BrisWinn, I can't remember if it's an Attwood or CIPA mirror. I'll check this weekend unless beyond the blue chimes in before then.

*edit - Found it! It's a CIPA Universal 4x8 Ski Mirror - they go for under $25 do a web search or,
one source is here

I'll take some better pics of the way mine's mounted this weekend.

Thanks for the CIPA info....that helps and I at least know what to search for. Too bad the hot chick mirror would not work - of course I would need one of those wide angle concave style ones:)

Me and the boy hit the boat show in Houston yesterday and thought I would find something there.....not! Very dissapointing boat show in my opinion. I only saw one and that's 1 vendor with boat related stuff. They were selling wakeboards, gloves and tow ropes. Not one other vendor for boat stuff at a boat show - i was like man are you kidding me. They were selling rocking chairs, hammocks, spa's, dry sauna's, peanuts and shoes though.

I couldn't imagine a wakeboard tower company not being there - No boat electronics on display or for sale - No boat sound systems (speakers) there either...no fishing tackle displays/no downriggers or any kind of fishing gear...this is Houston and not Boise????....no antique boat displays either which was dissapointing......one other interesting thing was that I didn't see Crownline there??? If they were I missed them and I covered all the ground....also, noted that none of the Chaparrals had thru hull exhausts.
