This might be a stupid question but looking for some advise for what seems to be a simple fix. My slip is very low to the water and the water level is high. My lines that go from my bow cleats drape down to the cleats on the dock. As the boat moves the line is chafing away at the striping above the rub rail. I bought chafe guards but they seem like the same material as the line so I don't think this will solve my problem. I replaced the striping last year over the winter and its coming off again. I thought about moving the cleat on the dock but the line will still drop down to any area that I move it to. Any suggestions?
