These days the last couple of my 'quickie' projects lead to another more time consuming project . The carpet snaps in the Horizon forum was one, now here's another. A couple weeks back when I was working on my stern mounted trim switch I got my cockpit cover out of storage (where it had been sitting for about 3 weeks) only to find that a field mouse had got at it and was starting to make a nest. The mouse was just getting started at making the cockpit cover the way it wanted it, lucky for me that I was checking the canvas when I did. Here's the damage:

Got a call into a local canvas shop to see what they can do.

Stupid mouse. Chewed up a two season old Airhead Islander towable too.

I am sure a canvas shop can stitch it back together...maybe with a tiny patch...luckily you got to it in time though Jim...that would be a mess in short order.

Dam mice. I've got about 12 mouse baits sitting around the storage unit in different places, and the mice have gotten into them a little more every time I'm there.

A small reinforcing patch will take care of that quite easily. I have a spot on my cover like that but never could figure out how it happened...you may have enlightened me!
