Anybody have any thoughts on this boat with a duo prop Volvo penta setup? I can get one with maintain history for 9K. Looks good to me but don't want any gotchas.

Pull start engine or V8...need more details....generally speaking its a good boat but that's before someone owned it for 12 years. What's interior condition...fresh or salt...trailer condition....hours...deck condition

Where is this one located? (I ask because there is one I don't know the year here in CT that has been been well taken care of)

If you don't know how to check out a used boat yourself, then either get someone who knows or learn how yourself. There are a lot of potential gotchas, starting with hull damage, wood core rot if its a wood cored boat (most likely has wood cored stringers deck and transom). Then there's the mechanical side, engine+drive. That can only be really checked out with both a water test and mechanical inspection (compression test, check for water in motor oil, proper running water temp and oil pressure and check for proper drive shifting, no odd noises and no water in drive oil). Last you have to look at the trailer too, a painted trailer that age could be rusted junk by now and new ones are about 2-3K for a boat that size.

Post pix, was it used in salt or fresh, does it have maintenance records, etc. Individual condition is much more important than anything a person on here can tell you about it without seeing it.

I would think that a 2001 H210 would be worth $10k to $12.5K in excellent condition with base 5.7L 250HB Carb engine. Add more for higher horsepower. Add more for galvanized trailer. Subtract a lot for bad vinyl, engine corrosion, or wet structural wood.

If it has the VDO Gage Cluster (all gauges in one automotive type panel), then search this forum for "VDO".
While I have been happy with my VDO gauges, many others have had problems and replaced them with conventional round gauges.
You can buy a full set of Faria round gauges for about $250, however, you also need to fabricate a panel to mount them in (search "VDO Replacement). I would not make the VDO gauges a deal breaker, but if they are not working, don't expect an easy fix.

The H210 is a very roomy boat that fits a lot of people. Much like my H240 except lacking the 3' where they put the Head and extra storage locker.

Only fresh water, not sure if it is the gx or gxi but it is a v8. I can't figure out how to post pics but it seems in pretty good shape with maintain records for the last three years.

Get a marine survey I did when I purchased my boat and the dealer actually fixed small items that the surveyor found in the check out. Make sure they do a compression test and check the spark plugs both items that were supposedly on my survey but were overlooked I guess.
