Hi,
I am looking to do a bit of fishing & would like to buy some 'clamp on' style rod holders, as my boat has a wake tower . Does anyone have any recommendations / thoughts?

Also, any ideas on a portable bait table? I am not keen on drilling holes into the boat.

Much appreciated.

cheers

Yep, I'm in the same boat - literally! But at least you have a tower to attach rod holders to... I also have the sunsport seating which does not help.

I have been looking at what I can attach (and easily remove) from the gunwales but have not come up with anything yet. There are clamp on rod holders to go on the gunwales, or those mounting systems where you clip them into a fitting (along with optional cup holders, strap holders etc.). Also looking at rod holders I can clamp to the stainless hand rails up front and maybe sit a bait table in one of them.

Like you, I am not keen on drilling holes into my beautiful boat, so have done nothing so far.

Not sure how you guys fared...but smith brand makes a clamp on that works great.
I have in both my Bimini frame and 2 on the rails around bow.
I use a cooler with airator for live well...bungi rigged now...but thinking of using trolling motor quick release to have nice low profile attachment.
You can view all these items on basspro.com...just need to find local

I have the bow rail clamp on style of rod holders & they work exceptionally well!
Alec - You're welcome to borrow them to try them out.

My old H-200 had the gunnel mount rod holders already on it when I bought it 10 years ago. I got a bait table and I put the same mount on it that is used for the gunnel mount. I could not use it that way because of the angle of the gunnel. So I just set it on the big sun pad (sunsport seating) and the mount fits in the space between the seat and the sun pad. That holds it and kept it from sliding around.
