My compliments on a great looking job on the boat so far. They are a great boat and you will have a lot of fun with it. I noticed in one of the pictures that it came equipped with a "customized" left trailer step and fender. You just might get that worked out most of the way with some strategic blocking and clamping and percussion adjustment (hammer work). Best regards.

Yea precious owner clipped something nice. I'm planning to park by telephone pole at office. Block the wheels add heat and a cumalong and see if I can get it straight. I also am painting a starboard fender that was missing I assume blown tire tore it off or something, but I have a new one.

The ladder pad was missing so I previously had a towel zip tied to it. Now it is fixed the right way no more rubbing.

Now onward to the grab handle. I made some large 3"x7" synthetic backer plates to distribute the load and all stainless washers and lock nuts. Now the wife is happy she has a handle for easy in and out the water.

Well lots of parts came in yesterday. Rebuild kit for the out drive, O-rings for the trim cylinders, labels for the dash rocker switches, slim line quick disconnect brackets for Bimini, and a new waterpump kit.

Got an early start this morning so I could get things done before The Masters. Well golf has been on a bit so time for today's boat update.

Laid all the parts out in the grass and built the Bimini, it took about 20 minutes taking my time. Then I used couple wood wedges and clamps the mock up the position and height to locate the mount position. After an hour or so of adjusting and standing back and looking. I determined the perfect location for the flush mount quick disconnect stainless mounts. I masked off the area traced out and 20x checked measurements. Time to drill. Made some 3x7x.25 starboard backer plates and installed with all stainless locking nuts and washers. Got some fiberglass in my are that's always a joy.

I have to adjust the level but she is in. I have to cut and make the hard
Read fixed supports and mount those quick disconnects.

I forgot. The engine alarm oil pressure and temperature sensors arrived. This will buzz at ignition start like all modern boats. Mine simply was not equipped with a buzzer system.

Did they not have the stainless end caps for the bimini poles?

The stand back and looking part, especially with a beer in one hand, is my favorite part of working on a boat (OK, or anything else).

SS fittings would have been another $100... dad has commercial account at West Marine and in july 4th they have a huge sale i will get them for $2-$3 each then and save.. for now the plastic will do the job..

beer in one hand is the best part of projects.. i am ready for a few good productive days and knock alot of the things off of the list.. i am trying to have everything including rebuilding the OD done by the end of the month.. Rain and event obligations has taken most of my weekend days away. But I am going to try my best to get her done in the next half the month ....

Shop vacced all under motor and in engine bay. Only had like 3 dribbles of grease lightning so the cleaning will continue tomorrow. I located the stock oil pressure sending sensor and the temp sensor. Located a free open block off plug for the temp. And there looks to be plenty room for the T fitting for the oil pressure warning sensor. While I was in the engine I tested a few mounting locations for the Racor fuel water separator filter.

Plastic bowl for the Racor is a no-no for inboards, that is OK for outboards where the filter is not in the engine space. Bowl has to be fireproof to be used in an inboard engine space, according to Coast Guard regs.
You have to use the metal bowl version. Very good filter but make sure you lube both orings with motor oil or else you will have a bad time getting the filter off the mount and the re-usable bowl off the filter.

Yep that is the same bimini top I have. I do recommend getting the SS end caps as you have already stated you were going to. Plastic gets brittle over time and breaks at the wrong time. Also like I said before get the SS support poles of the back. You will not regret it. Trust me I know.
