When you're all done Id like to see pix of a late model H 190 vs yours, I bet that yours has more room inside and better engine access, plus your seating job looks as good if not better than factory. I love making old things new again!

well no upholstery last night as i am still waiting on more seam tap to arrive. Supposed ot arrive today YAY. So last night was soldering of a few wires for the new throttle. Had to solder the neutral safety switch and the trim wires. I was out of water tight quick disconnects so that will happen tonight and check a project off of the list. Did a test fire last night to make sure that the neutral safety was correct. 30-45seconds of ignition to let the fuel pressure build in the rails and a quick 2-3second spin of the starter and she fired right up after sitting all winter. Did not run more than a few seconds because no water was hooked up, BUT she fired off instantly.

If you do not has a 5th helping hands for electrical work you should get one. They are $5-10 and a priceless helper when it comes to soldering. I simply clamped mine under the dash to hold the wires. Easy Peasy Bing Bang Boom done.

I must say this thread is absolutely amazing. Having the gumption to perform such restorations is something Ive always admired!

On the soldering, Ive learned that twisting the wires together then soldering them gives a very good connection. The splice doesnt rely completely on the solder to carry the load and hold the splice together. Makes it easier to solder also since it holds itself together. Just something I wanted to share!

Question about the bimini top. Our H180 has a similar design and Ive found that it rocks back and forth pretty bad when on the lake. Ive tied a rope to one of the supports and ran it down to a handle to help keep it from moving. Have you noticed that yours does this?

Ended up installing a brass drain plug into the Rear bench seat as i was having some water sit under the drain matts and well i was not happy with that. It is centered with the bildge and is flared on both side via the flare tool. 5200 and double flare on brass should last and last.

the throttle wiring is DONE and the quick disconnects for service are in. Need to be tucked away and a small zip tie applied.

the floor has not been cleaned for the season, I am waiting on my deck cleaner and Woodys Wax to arrive and do the clean and protection application all at once.

nice. These are under my dash so they will not be seeing submersion. Only some air moisture and minimal splashes from cleaning.

nothing new visually today. BUT some parts have been ordered. All new pulleys and brackets, coil, cap and rotor, plugs, wires, manifold gaskets. I have had enough of squeaking belts and it is time for an upgrade and tune up.

it was hot and the sun was beating down on me so i draped the boat cover over the open engine hatch and it made nice shade. A cross breeze was blowing thru the openings perfectly.

What plug number did you get? I put the NGK V powers in mine 3 years ago felt like a totally different boat then the champions that were in there. I also used the stock Ford Power Products still available on EBay for cap and rotor that does not have the vent on the cap. The brass terminals should help with that cap. Was thinking to upgrade my coil also but after 100 hours the NGK's are still clean as a whistle and put them back and decided against the coil. Good to see those wires fit the manifolds as the Mallory marine wires specific for our boat are super hard to find now.
