Hello all,
I bought the replacement panel from A&A Marine #231-723-8308. I talked to Dave who was very helpful in helping me figure out what size panel (2 sizes) and which color or type of wood pattern (2 patterns) that I had. I think that the total cost that included shipping was around 600.00 which i didn't think was too bad since i called to check on repairing the VDO and it was about 325.00 and who knows how long the repair would last before something else went wrong with it.
It comes with the wire harness and the plug that matches your boat which was really nice, So all you should have to do is mount it to the cowl and plug it in.
If you have anymore question that I can answer just let me know and i will do my best to help. :D

That's awesome, did they indicate this was something they keep in stock? Or did you just get lucky? I'm looking to do the same on my 1996 Sundowner...

It had to be ordered and somewhat matched to your boat ( wiring and plug). I want to say it was a couple of weeks for the order once all the details were hammered out.

Great timing! I spoke with Dave a couple times today. He (A&A) does offer the replacement panel "kits" for our boats. They include the panel, gauges and wiring all assembled with a plug for "plug and Play" installation. There are basically 3 different panel types. Two fit the "pod" style dash's like mine. These differ in width, either 18.5" or 20". Additionally, there is one that is more of a wrap around style. I've seen these on the forum, he said those are not currently available. There are also a couple different finish options. Lead time is a couple weeks, the pricing is similar to what was indicated earlier in this thread. He said the combinations they have in stock of panels and colors varies, but they can order any combo you want. Since my boat has zero wood grain now, I'm not too picky, I'll just change accents to match the style panel I end up getting.

I am heading up to the lake tomorrow, I just need to measure the width of my current cluster and confirm the wiring harness plug style (there are two different styles depending on vintage). He said he sells a few of these a month. I also finally heard back from a Four Winns dealer, they are also offering the replacement panels once again. They do not include gauges, must be wired yourself, and cost about as much as the complete kit from A&A.

I can't wait to get mine on order and installed. The gauge panel on my Sundowner is literally the only thing that is not in mint condition on this 18 year old boat.

@NickH: That's great. Maybe you can also purchase extra woodgrain from him for your other panels if you need it.

Hi idb3130,

I've sent you a PM requesting details on your dash & am hoping you reply ASAP?!
Might anyone else have contact details for this user?

Cheers.
