Just being curious, but when was the last time that Four Winns redesigned their horizon series and typically, how often do you see these redesigns? Also, has anybody heard anything about any intentions to redesign the Four Winns Horizon series? As I said, I was just curious, and didn't know if boat redesigns occurred as frequently as they do in the car industry. Thanks!

The current hull/deck design started ~2004. I'm not sure every model was updated the same year, but that's the year I'd use as a reference. The other question is harder. It's going to depend on how the current design is selling, customer feedback, and what other builders are doing (competition).

I think the actual hull designs haven't changed much for several years (like 10+) - as FW has patented their hull technology.

Interiors are redesigned as needed (like Mike said) - but smaller changes are more often. A great example is the stiched dash that started in 2007. For 2008, there wasn't much change, but rather new options and improvements to then current designs - hinges, battery locations, etc..

Seeing as how the current design is really updated already - I wouldn't expect many big design changes for a few more years. And then to think that changes are phased in by model - what is selling well, what isn't...

I think the theory behind the hull design is what's patented. If you compare the hulls of, say, a 2000 230 to a "new" 230/240, there are subtle differences.

The dash mentioned by Cougar is a great example of incremental year-by-year change. (Although, while I like the materials of the new dash, I VASTLY prefer the older shape. Such things are very subjective.)
