| Post subject: | Speedometer Never Works |
I have a 1999 Four Winns 18ft Horizon with a Volvo Penta 43G1iX engine. The speedometer has never really worked well, ever. Four Wins tells me there was a replacement part but the mfg. stopped making it. Any other other suggestions? Thanks. |

Faulty VDO gauge cluster. Try a search here, or on Google. Dozens of posts with the answers you seek. |

A mistake to assume this and other instrument problems are always due to the VDO cluster. For this year of manufacture, there was a paddle wheel sensor (Airmar) on the transom which in itself did not have an unblemished reliability record. |
