| Post subject: | Tubing on an H210 |
In the past on other boats I have used a pylon for skiing and the stern eyes for tubing because of the strain from the tube. On my 210 there is a ski attachment. The eyes are under the swim platform. I don't feel comfortable with lines under there. Is the ski attachment robust enough for tubing? Thanks |

On my old 190 Horizon I have pulled 2 tubes many times with riders on each tube that weighed well over 200 lbs each without any issue. We always used the single tow hook for pulling skiers, tubes, etc. For pulling 2 tubes we use a 3/8" diameter 60 foot "Y" type tow rope that splits about 2/3rds of the way back. This keeps the tubes closer together while still allowing them to swing somewhat independently. We did that frequently for the 18 seasons we used that boat. With any towing activity, be aware of rider safety and where the rope is to prevent injury or the rope getting snagged on something. Use a rope to tube connection that cannot snag a rider. |

In short....yes, use ski tow on transom for tubing. It's made for it. Only time I used transom eyes was to tow a buds boat in. I kept a rope with snap rings and pully wheel in case in a bind....i wouldn't go thru all that to hook that system up for a tube. |
