On our (and probably yours too) Horizon after we spend a day tubing or swimming there's a puddle of water on the floor by the back of the cockpit under the engine cover handle. The drain by the floor takes most of the water but because it isn't flush with the floor some always remains.

I thought about drilling a small hole just under the existing drain and run a tube to the bilge. Any other ideas?

I'm pretty much sure mine does the same. I have little recessed area that water tends to pool because the drain vertically mounted and not flush with the floor. But that drain goes directly out the transom and not into the bilge. I'm assuming that's so if you end up with lots of water in the boat it will drain overboard without having to use the bilge pump. I don't think I would drain that into the bilge because you'd be bypassing the transom drain to a large extent.

Yeah. We get 'em too. Very annoying. Not sure I want to take a drill near there though.... we've had problems in the center storage also. Drains pitifully slow this year and I haven't found a way to "blow" it clean.

Did you ever find a way to clear drain in storage/ski locker?
