Does it display air/water temp like the 2008-2009 does? I havn't played with it yet as the battery is in my basement for the winter. This would be awesome if it did. How does it work? I just got the boat at the end of the season and only used it a few times. Didn't even realize the boat may have this option until looking at FW website and saw the 2008-2009 have this option.

Oshkosh is an awesome area for boating with all the water we have here. we watched the air show from Lake Winnebago this past summer on the boat.

My 2008 doesn't have that. I mean, it has the hour meter, but no temp guages. I would LOVE that, but I don't have it. :(

My 2007 200H (not an SS) doesn't have any temp options either - it'd be nice. Got any p/n's? - might be a nice upgrade.

I've been meaning to drag my boat over to Lake Butte des Mortes and/or Winnebago (Butte des Mortes would be a 40 mile tow for me). Maybe next season.

*edit - just went over to the 2009 FW site - it's not an option, it's standard on the entire H series, and it's not the hour meter, it's the depth gauge that has air & water temps. Still would make a nice upgrade, although it probably involves swapping out the transducer which I believe FW installs before the deck is in place.

I haven't gotten to look at the FW site yet, but I will in a minute.

I'm sure its this one from Faria. http://faria-instruments.com/site_manuals/IS0197C_ecr6190.pdf

The temp sensor for the water goes out the transom and attaches like the speedometer tube on the VPs. The air temp gauge can be placed some where around the gauge in the dash itself.

It's about $160 or so at Overtons, I'm actually looking into one of these to replace my depth sounder as I'm having issues with it. For $70 more, why not get air and water temp? If you look at the manual, it uses the same transducer thats installed in our FWs.

I know on my FW its a thru-hull transducer. I can access it via my engine hatch on my Sundowner, not sure on the Horizon series. If you look on the outside of my hull, you can see where its at as well.

Be insteresting to see if this would work as an upgrade for the 2007-2008. If anyone trys it let us know how it comes out. Be a cool feature to have.

It will. It uses the same transducer as the factory depth finder, you just have to run a wire back through the transom for the water temp feature. I might be doing this in the spring.

firecadet, got a p/n? I'm thinking with some searching we should be able to beat that Overton's price quite a bit.
