Hi Guys,
I was just wondering if anyone has a proper ski pylon on the rear of there Horizon, with possibly a swivel top like the one on the wake tower/arch,
I find the standard ski ring on my 210SS too fiddly, especially when I tow a large inflateable ride, I need to use a very thick tow rope and it is hard to attatch. Even when skiing, its not as simple as throwing a loop over a pylon.
I did once see a second hand H210 with a short pole on the back deck. but the ideal pylon would be one that bolts on to a vertical serface like the current ski ring.

Clarke!

Not sure if you could possibly adapt one of these to fit your boat ?

I have never seen one of those before, certainly is different, but I'm not sure how strong it would be with only 5/16th studs holding it in place?

I found this set up today and its much the kind of thing I'm looking for, click the link and scroll down to the 3rd and 4th item from the bottom of the page.

You know, this seems like an accessory that Four Winns should adopt. I bet more people would use them if they didn't require rip and replace of the old tow ring on the stern.

I envision a little mini-pole that even if it only gave your a foot or two of height would be an improvement. I guess I think of something that pops-up and locks in position and then can be folded out of the way when not towing anyone.

A removable pylon was an option on many models in (I believe) '07 & '08, but I don't see it listed as an option anymore. It was a very expensive option for what it was, IMO. I think member Jnizi had it added to his 240 before he sold it. Maybe he can post a pic of it if he still has one.

I know its a pain in the ass but I stick with the rear tow ring. I have a thicker rope to pull the tube so it's also a pain to get through the ring and loop it around. I just feel with the stresses placed upon it and having valuable cargo on the tube I don't want to take any chances.
