Has anyone in the group installed this MP3 Port?

I have the 210H with the Clarion stereo. My dealer is now offering a very similar aftermarket kit for about $125. Woud like to know if anyone has cut into the dash on the passenger side, and if so, what would the process be for a DIY'er?

Thanks to all.

I did mine with a factory Clarion one, but its the same. On mine easiest way is to lay on your back look up beside the glove box/cooler and you will see 2 nuts on the left an 1 on the right. Take those off and the Whole top part of the radio "bezal" will lift off. Then the starboard that the radio is fixed to will come off also. Heres a pic of mine. One hour job TOPS.

PS its hard to get the nuts start because its tight under the dash use masking tape to hold them to your socket. You will understand after u try.[

Thanks for the link. That was helpful. I had thought I could take the receiver out of the dash by removing the rubber sides, pulling the screws and sliding the unit out. Just don't know if there is enough room to get in and connect and all of that. Not sure if I want to take the whole port side helm down.

Your install looks sweet, though. Very clean. Did you use a hole saw or drill bit?

Problem with just pulling the screws is, mine has a nut and bolt because the OEM screws stripped the first week. I used a paddle bit. Its super cheap foam board. I've been in it both ways. To me removing the black top piece is the easiest.

Not at first. It was only good sitting still. After 4k and a total overhaul. Its a great system. I have a 10" sub under the rear bench, sirus, added 2 6-1/4" at the rear cup holders, changed all the 6-1/4's to coaixels, added a 600w alpine amp, remote on the swimdeck and the i-pod jack. Oh and 10 red LEDS over the cup holders and in the combing pockets. Just for the effect. It rocks at 1/2 volume wide open thottle with the captian call exhaust open. Best part its stealthy, I dont worry about getting my speakers stolen at the marina like the boys with towers.
