Well, I was one of the very lucky ones who was able to sell my Four Winns 210SS in 72 hours back in August 2010....and I had a great plan to save cash and just spend the next 18 months without a boat.... The plan was to buy at the 2012 winter boat show.. so much for plans...
I have been talking with my salesman, that I bought my Four Winns from, and decided to go for it... I have been working him hard for a while and really making sure that I was ready and it was the exact boat that I want to own for a long time.... so I ordered my new 2011 Regal 2300... Due here April 25th, its gonna be a long 8 weeks....

Hope you ladies and gents don't mind if I still lurk the forum and chime in from time to time...

*pics soon to follow

Congrats. From what I hear Regal builds a good boat.

I have found myself longing after a Regal before...

They're great boats, with very nice designs.

That being said, I'm always curious to know why someone switches brands on a purchase like this.

What made you choose Regal?

I guess the H240 would be an "equivalent" Four Winns. Were there specific reasons you "switched" brands?

Can't wait to see pictures of the new boat. What color did you order?

This is the exact setup that I ordered with Phil Dill this past week. *Minus the white arch and the pink bikini..... :D

Honestly, I really wanted the Regal when I bought my Four Winns back in 2008. In my opinion it seemed to be a better quality of boat, but the wife and I just loved the look of the 210SS and that is what we bought... I was a little disappointed in the "little things" with my 210SS interior seems, door hatches, loose gas assits, crapy Sony, SS stickers...nothing major at all, just irritating. A big negative, however was that pitiful thing they called a trailer...they just needed to leave that to a trailer mfg company...
The H240 is "equivalent" in size of boat, but we thought the Regal 2300 made WAY better use of the same space.... The cockpit is extremely spacious, better use of sun pad space, and the large/flat swim platform right on the water. The Fast Trac hull on the Regal also really impressed me, the 24ft Regal was 2 mph faster than my 210SS with the exact same motor.....and in the Regal I had 6 adults on board vs. just me in the 210SS... You can really feel the less drag in the hull, also adding to the fuel economy. Then I checked the handling, and pretended I was Captn' Steve on boattest.com...(haha) Handled awesome...

At the end of the day though...
1. I really liked Regal's business plan....(family business, operated with NO DEBT, true American Dream, Christians....not a corporation with out a face...)

2. I liked my dealer/salesman (Phil Dill Boats/Nathan Nichols) better than I liked the Four Winns boat.... (returned to same dealer, who no longer sells Four Winns)

3. For my family, use of the boat, and budget...the Regal was without exception the best boat on the market...

Thank you, I will now step off my little soap box and Regal sales pitch....(not intended by the way)..

Awesome looking boat! How much extra was the option that included the pink bikini?

The storage areas, and the way it is handled on the 2300, are leaps and bounds above most models from
any other builder of that size bowrider. Your buddy, Cap't Steve at Boattest shows the cavernous storage here.

That was probably enough of an explanation right there.

I really appreciate your comments though, I think others may find them useful also....Four Winns are you listening?

Even Obama can't print enough money to afford that option.

Sadly, I doubt it.
