vinyl only. I have the boat waxed and buffed by professionals with Collinite Wax yearly to keep the red alive. Its pure carnauba wax.

Ahhh...Ill probably use it on the boat as well. I like doing that type of stuff myself, so will see how it helps.

Have you tried the fabric gaurd, if so did you try it on the carpet?

No I use "car wash pressure washer" on my carpet. :P

We just have really bad Red Clay here and wanted to try and add another layer of protection on it...especially with two water loving dogs. :roll:

The sundeck is binding and the stress is tearing the metal. I would put a couple of stainless washers under the screws that mount the hinge to the hull closest to the hind pivot point. if you elevate the hinge in this area you will relieve the stress. If you put a couple fo washers where mentioned it will "open" the hing and hoepfully keep it from reaching its binding point. Let me know if you want a friend of mine to make you some nice stainless reproductions I know you can't tear......

You could also explore ways to modify the mounting so that the hinges can move slightly as they need to. It probably wouldn't be hard at all, it'd just take little time.

If there is water in your ski locker, then you may have a piece of trash or leaf blocking the drain hole. You should be able to turn your bilge pump on and drain most of that water even if you are at the dock. With the bilge pump on, and you running the boat a bit bow up, you should be able to drain all of the water.

The bilge pump should have a float switch on it to run it on automagically when needed, but it sounds like the water is only located in your ski locker. The drain hole should be in the center of the back wall of the locker (towards the stern). Hope this helps.

I don't have this kind of arrangement either, but i think Mike is right on. The crack in the second picture is definitely due to a large force "Into" the page. This side force is probably due to a missalignment issue with the mating part. Tell your dealer he's got to look at this closer. NO reason they should be breaking if they were installed properly from factory.
