The force is not pulling it up. I can see where it might look like that. Its pulling it left to right.

So what is the verdict? I know you stated that you get one more fix...but what about for the future?

They replace all four each time. I'm on my third set and last under warranty (so they say). The hinges are aligned and are uniform to other 200's on the lot. The verdict is, its me???? What can I be doing to cause it. The lid has never flew up while underway. Its not twisted when open. I'm lost!!!

I was also thinking along the lines as what Mike is telling you. I might try removing the hinge pin and sticking a taper punch in there. With that screw removed you should be able to see if the two are parallel.

One other thought I had after looking at mine was if the rear of the seat was hitting or pinching something as it opens. It would turn the seat into a large level pulling the hinges in the direction of your break.

Either way since it is only the one side it seems to say it’s an alignment issues.

Umm, maybe you and a partner are causing the side to side shear?

I'm just gonna keep an eye on them, if I see stress, I will have some beefer ones made of stainless. The OEM ones are super cheap, all four combined would weigh less then a 1/4 of a pound.

Oh ya! Dealer has been great fixing problems I didnt ask to be fixed (pin hole in sundeck) Motor hasn't missed a beat. Its all about preventive maintenance, I turned ever screw I could see. (everyone around the rub rail was a beating) I keep the seats 303ed and the gel waxed. I use my boat to get back and forth to party cove, not much towing or running. I dont even spend much time on my boat when we get to a tie up. This is what we do

Sounds great! Looks even better. Waiting for the water to get warmer than the 65 it is now. Do you like the 303? Haven't had a good weekend to do a complete cleaning...just spray it on and wipe off and it protects the seats well?

Should be getting mine back from the service shop this weekend after only having it three weeks...just a few minor corrections.

I've used 303 for years. Red is rough to keep true red and its working great on mine. Texas summers are not easy on red boats either.
