Post subject: | Adding Second Battery - 2000 FW 180 Horizon |
Has anyone added a second battery to their horizon, or know how I would go about it? I am somewhat handy, as I successfully installed a new head unit this weekend. What I want is for one battery to crank the engine over, and one to run accessories while the motor is off. That way I'll never be left stranded due to running the stereo too long. So obviously I would need the alternator to charge both. Any and all help is appreciated, and the more details the better. Thanks. Ben |

I've seen this device listed before, but I'd really like to hear from someone who's done an installation. The simple installation will work on my boat and looks pretty - well, simple - but I'm not a marine electrician either. I'd have to add the switch, the combiner and a zap-stop. I'd love to hear from someone who's done this conversion. |
