Had yet another example of this forum saving my butt this weekend. Boat sat in my friend's driveway last week and we had two really hard rains. Went to launch Saturday morning and the power trim was completely dead--no power at all. Checked the fuses, checked the switch, checked the wires. Ended up pulling boat back out and hitched a ride for the day on our friend's boat. We had a nice day--but needless to say I was bummed. Sunday morning I logged on--found this post and was determined that finding the "red button" was the answer. On the 5.7L, it is hidden all the way on the backside of the engine. Found it, pressed it, and back in business. Took our boat out Sunday and had a great day. Just wanted to say thanks to all for sharing your knowledge and let you know that this forum (and the search engine) work! Hope everyone had a great and safe weekend. |
