Hi Every one,
I'll try and keep this as brief as possible.

I have a 2004 horizon 170.... Looooooove It.

Today I went out and noticed that the power trim/up is no longer working.
However the Power Trim/down works fine.
The hand throtle has the three position switch.
Push down is Trim Down
Partially push up is Trim up ..
Fully pushed up is Power Tilt Up. (for trailering)

Today for some reason the Trim up stopped working.
I got home and thinking it was a faulty switch . Pulled the switch and put a meter across the wires and every thing worked fine. There are 4 wires coming from the back of the switch.
Green- Trim Down
Blue- Engine up (Trailer)
Red -- Common
Purple Trim Up.
I followed the wires through to under the dash .
All metered O.K.
I then followed the wires to the stern.
I kind of lost one of the wires on the way. It seems that only three make it to the pump. Red, Blue and Green..
I can't find where the purple goes. ( Purple -Trim Up) It disappears into a loom that right now I wouldn't feel comfortable peeling open.
I can't account for the two black wires that come from the Starboard Trim Sender.
With everything else metering fine, could I be havein a problem with the trim sender??
Any tips , advice or suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks in advance
Tony

I am almost 100% sure that there is a relay for up and a second relay for down on your model. You should check and find the up relay and replace it. I am almost sure you can download a owners manual from the fourwinns website for your boat.

Thanks guys for the response.
I am going to head out to the boat and look for the relays.
I did see in my paperwork that it mentions an" Up Solenoid" and a " Down Solenoid".
Nothing about a relay but I will look.
Did I mention that although my Trim up is not working , my engine up(Trailering) IS Working.
Just thought I would mention that in case it sheds any light.
Thanks Again
Tony
