Congrats on the new boat! Exciting times indeed unwrapping and playing with the new boat for the first time. The smell of that new fibreglass is awesome.

I tell ya, seeing that yellow on the water, it looks really rich. Beautifull boat.

Enjoy!

The dealer you bought your boat from is excellent to deal with. We are anxiously waiting for our second boat from Grand Sport. Good Luck and Congratulations.

You're not kidding! I've mentally associated that smell with Summer boating and fun times. When we got our boat back from storage that smell made me smile ear to ear.

:D

Got it wet.

Managed to get an hour and 15 minutes of the break in done, between setup attempts for the boat lift. Still grinning.

Looks great up on the lift. Nice pic with the water reflection on the hull.

Only 18.5 hours left :D Should be easy.

I'm just looking forward to getting past the 2 hour mark. At that point I'll be able to get a taste of what burning a gallon every 5 minutes is like.

You should be able to get at least 10 minutes to that gallon. The gas station is your friend

We recently went out two days in a row and used about 8 gallons with some WOT tied in with cruising. I have the 190hp 4.3.

We'll see what happens though when the water warms up and the water sports begin. I want to see how that V6 is going to pull a skier out of the water as opposed to the 70hp Outboard we've been using at my friend's place.

Yeah, I just reverse calculated the fuel consumption based on some FW specs. Think I saw a fuel burn rate of 12 gallons per hour at WOT with the 4.3 GXi 225HP. You're right though, in terms of gas pricing, the gas station is far more my friend than the local marina is.

*edit - Rob, I looked up the specs for your RX, and at WOT, you may be burning a gallon every 3.3 minutes, and the numbers for my 200 are actually 19G/hour, or a gallon every 3.15 minutes!
