Delays, delays. Dealer got my boat late, but got it. 8) Didn't have time to prep it, but did unwrap it for me. I go back tomorrow to see it fully prepped, start it up, etc. Here's some pics:

Jim_R, she looks beautiful! I feel your frustration with delay after delay after delay. Get out there and put some hours on her, for the sake of the rest of us!

Yeah, I looked pretty carefully, and in direct sunlight I could not find a chip, swirl, or peel to complain about. Although, the stuff the Sales Manager, and Service Manager were saying about it having many of the '08 features (guages, dash, and seating) I do find fault with. Jeeze, knowing when a guy is already sold is pretty basic in the sales game.

:?: Where is the closest dealer to Waupaca?

We will be bringing our 200 Horizon up there in a few years.

Just wanted to get information.

Thanks!

Bd,
I believe that the closest FW dealer is in Osh Kosh, but Becker Marine, which is on the chain, is a certified Volvo Dealer and can provide Volvo warranty service.

*edit - And of course Mercruiser's main manufacturing plant is in nearby Fon Du Lac.

Sweet looking ride Jim. Looks like it was worth the wait. If I'm ever out on the Chain, I'll keep an eye out for a yellow flash blazing by.

bugsdoc - closest dealer to Waupaca is probably Skipper Buds in Oshkosh.

Where does one find a mooring available on the Chain?

There's one place across from Becker Marine that leases slips for the season (or used to, not sure how the new dock rules impacted them). Other than that, one must be a property owner, or rent lakefront property. Of course there are numerous public landings with parking as well. I was lucky enough to get a cottage on the chain just prior to the explosion in property values. Anyway, the new home for this boat will be on a lift next to said dock.
