Post subject:  Using the Head

I am really wanting to get a Funship because it can accomodate more people, and you can get them equipped with a head. Question is, how much of a pain are they? I see some referred to as porta pottis, and some as flushable. Can you explain the pros/cons. Which do you have and what are your experiences? Thanks.

Ben, the PortaPotti's can be fine for day trips, especially if there are no holding tank pump out facilities where you do your boating. At the end of the day, you make sure the tank is in the sealed position, and you merely lift it out of the boat and take it home where you can empty it and clean it for the next time. They usually come in 2 pieces, the top which holds a couple of gall of fresh water, which you can even leave on the boat, and then the bottom which is the holding tank, which you take home to empty.

The more permanent flushable type of toilets empty into a built in holding tank in the boat, and have to be pumped out at an approved "Pump Out" facility. If you have pump out facilities in the areas you do your boating, this is definitely a nice option to have!

The Funship is a Great Boat! Good Luck!

lol. hey benk777 from the T4R forum. The funship 214 that I have hold it for all season usually. They aren't a pain at all to me at least.

Hey, you're the one selling your Funship, right? What a small world. Have you lowered that price for me yet?
