Hello All:
I'm looking at a 2004 214 Funship. Does it come with a engine hour meter? Also, is a Volvo Penta 5.0 GL (carb) with a SX drive enough power to carry a full load of passengers and fuel at reasonable speeds?

This boat does not have trim tabs, will that be a problem?

Thanks!

I have an 05 214, and as i'm not sure of the differences, mine does have an hour meter. Yes the VP motor will be plenty enough to carry passengers and a full load of fuel. i have the Merc (MPI) 5.0 and i am perfectly happy with it. I have no experience with trim tabs but the boat performs quite well without them. Bottom line, i don't think you will be disappointed! Good luck

Ditto what he said. I have an 08 F224, but it's basically the same boat with a new name. The 5.0 is enough engine, unless you want to really go fast and burn a lot of gas.
